Pressure Treated Wood Deck in Crownsville, Maryland | Fence & Deck Connection, Inc.

We put so much time into building and beautifying our outdoor spaces so that we can relax and enjoy Mother Nature. Sometimes, however, she can be the one who causes damaged to our backyards. For homeowners in Crownsville, Maryland, this was most certainly the case. After a large tree fell on their pressure treated wood deck, Kevin Bullion worked with our customers to salvage the deck’s walkway and rebuild the large deck space.

We removed and hauled away the existing 10′ x 29′ deck, leaving the 4′ x 17′ walkway and steps that were left unscathed. We then installed 290 sq. ft. of premium pressure treated 5/4″ x 6″ wood decking to replace the damaged structure.

To properly enclose the deck, we installed pressure treated wood railing with round black aluminum balusters. Matching railing was also installed on the existing walkway and steps. To complete the deck replacement, pressure treated wood fascia wraps the structure.

Unlike composite decking, wood will naturally deteriorate and be broken down by fungi and insects — all part of the life cycle using natural materials. Untreated wood will last roughly 5-7 years outside.
